About PNG and PDF conversion

PNG is a strong format for screenshots, line art, and images with transparency, but some document systems only accept PDF attachments. This converter places the PNG on a PDF page using the image's exact pixel dimensions as page points.

PNG data is embedded losslessly by the PDF library. If the PNG has alpha, the PDF can carry that image data, but normal PDF viewing and printing usually composite the page against white paper or a white viewer background.

The output is still an image inside a PDF. It does not run OCR, rebuild tables, or turn screenshot text into selectable document text.

Does this upload my files?

No. Everything on this page runs locally in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to a server. Close the tab and nothing is left behind. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.

This is true for every tool on this site. Curious how that works? Read how browser-side processing works.

FAQ

Why convert PNG to PDF?

Use it when an application form, invoice system, print shop, or scan workflow requires a PDF instead of a PNG upload.

Does PNG to PDF preserve visual transparency?

The PNG image data can include alpha, but most PDF viewers and printers show the page against white, so do not rely on visible transparency.

Can several PNG files become one PDF?

Not in this converter. It does not merge files; multiple selected PNG files produce multiple one-page PDF downloads.

Will screenshot text become editable?

No. Screenshot text remains pixels inside the PDF; there is no OCR or document reconstruction step.
