About browser page extraction

This tool reads the selected PDF with pdf-lib, parses your page range, copies those pages into a new document, and saves the result locally. Page ranges are checked against the actual page count before the PDF is built.

Extract PDF pages is for copying whole pages into one new PDF. It does not OCR scanned pages, edit page text, or create separate per-page downloads.

Does this upload my files?

No. Everything on this page runs locally in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to a server. Close the tab and nothing is left behind. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.

This is true for every tool on this site. Curious how that works? Read how browser-side processing works.

FAQ

Are extracted PDF pages uploaded?

No. The original PDF is read by your browser and the extracted PDF is created locally on your device.

Can I choose page ranges?

Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges separated by commas, like 1, 3, 5-6. The output follows the order you type.

Does Extract PDF pages create one PDF or many?

It creates one PDF containing the selected pages. Use Split PDF if you want a separate download for each page.

Can password-protected PDFs be extracted?

No. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are refused because the browser cannot safely read their pages without a password flow.
